Assumes their recent growth rate holds. Most creators don't grow in a straight line, so try all three — the middle and right cases are far more common than the left one.
Reading a creator's numbers
How much of every dollar they earn goes to the people backing them. A bigger slice pays you back faster — and costs the creator more along the way.
The ceiling. Once backers have collected that many times what they put in, the deal ends early and the creator keeps everything after that.
When the payments add up to what you put in. Everything after that point is your gain — assuming the creator keeps earning.
